Answers

  1. Can I merge a letter template with just the current record on my form from a command button?

Yes, please see the examples provided in the LetterMerger demo ("Example: Using LetterMerger With Your Application Forms") and in the LetterMerger help file. See the help file section entitled "Using LetterMerger", "Opening the LetterMerger Form". Examples 3 and 4 show how to call LetterMerger with a specific letter template and a specific record.

To open the LetterMerger Help file, click Start > Programs > LetterMerger . . . > LetterMerger Help

  2. Can I make some text in my letter bold, or format it in some other way?

The current version of LetterMerger does not support special formatting within the text of the letter. You may choose a font and a font size for your entire letter, but that is about it for the formatting available in this version. We will be working on incorporating rich-text formatting for the next version.

  3. Can I use LetterMerger to print a letter that is more than one page?

The current version of LetterMerger only prints one-page letters. We'll be working on multi-page letter functionality in the next version.
